Daily Candy Seattle did a piece on Gainsbourg today, using a photo from our shoot.
Photojj.com can now be cruised on your iPhone! You can see a tiny version of what it looks like on your big computer here.
Found this on Anna Kuperberg's blog and could not resist sharing with you. Just hit play - you won't regret it.
Wow. What a night! Thank you to everyone who made it out. It meant a lot to me. Today calls for some heavy napping!
This weekend's wedding on Orcas Island was picture perfect. The sun was consistently lit, the family treated me like one of their own and the property was GORGEOUS. I can't wait to share it with you. My friend and fellow photog Kate McElwee was also there for a separate wedding so we hung out during our off-time, exploring the island and being the goofballs that we are. Doe Bay sure lived up to its name. Deer were everywhere! I snuck into the field in front of my cabin and hunkered down until one of the fawns felt comfortable enough to get close.
We entertained ourselves while waiting for our food at the cafe.

We climbed to the top of Mount Constitution:
Then onto Mountain Lake for a hike with the cameras. As you can see, I've been playing with flare.
Kate does a ton of boudoir work so we did an impromptu outdoor session. I'll call this her Lara Croft look!
The last rays of incredible weekend.
Just returned from a quick weekend trip to Fresno, CA, where I learned my mother is guest starring in a local retirement community's commercial (!!) and spent some time feeding, burping, cuddling and cooing my best friend's one month old. Photos will come, but probably next week. So many weddings and engagements on the plate right now!
Welcome to my new digs! I think you're gonna like it here. It has some pretty neat capabilities, like collages and big pics (when you click on them) and some standard stuff that I didn't have enabled on the old one like RSS feed capability and comments. I've manually entered all the old blog posts so you can still read about the old days. You probably noticed the nifty new logo, thanks to the creative mind of Demetre Arges at Wonderful Union. Thanks D! The rest of the site should be up sometime next week, depending on how much work I can tackle this weekend. So sign up for the RSS, leave a comment, and help me try this thing on.
It's likely I won't be posting much this week so I can focus on getting the new site up. The logo is almost done and I can't wait to put all the pieces together. Pretty soon you'll come to the site and have a completely different experience.
I'll be back on Thursday with the Club D, but for now I'll leave you with some more photos of Mexico, mostly by Robin. The boy is talented!

My contributions:

Have you been watching Survivor? This season is so freakin good! Four blindsides in a row, medical drama, nutjobs, post-show insight via the cast-offs at Ponderosa, and we got to see James one more time. Sweet, strong James.

Btw James, I have a totally innapropriate crush on you. Robin seems to be ok with it though since it is mostly because remind me of him, being the hardworking, principled man from Louisiana you are.
Robin's man-crush this season has been on Erik the puppy dog ice cream scooper, the last man standing prior to tribal council last night.

Read the EW recap for what went down (pitiful) plus a little video recap at the end to get you caught up for Sunday's finale.
Oh Mexico.

Still to come: Chichen Itza & Robin's photos
Two lovely pouches of goodness came in the mail today from Pillows for the People; Beatrice and Evangeline.

They were handmade by an old friend of mine who recently came back into view. I met Parisa at a youth group in high school and we clicked, being the only other tolerable people there. She introduced me to Morrissey, took me to her favorite thrift stores and invited me over to jump on her trampoline. She even came with me to see Material Issue at Metropolis, my first all ages show. Parisa was (and still is) a f***ing rad lady!
These days she's in NYC making dreamy lavender pillows (for the people!) out of fabric adorned with various patterns, illustrations and icons like Frida Kahlo and the Moz. Be sure to check out her blog for the latest PftP shenanigans.
Thanks Parisa!
